Rockshots Records è orgogliosa di presentare il primo singolo e video ufficiale delle HELLFOX, band tutta al femminile che unisce death metal melodico e alternative metal
Il brano, intitolato “Seaweed Braids”, anticipa l’uscita del nuovo album “The Spectrum of Human Gravity”, un viaggio intenso e audace tra le emozioni umane, in arrivo il 6 giugno 2025.
Con la potenza del death melodico e la versatilità dell’alternative, le HELLFOX si distinguono come una delle rare realtà completamente femminili nel panorama metal estremo. Ispirandosi a band come Amorphis, In Flames e Dark Tranquillity, scelgono di allontanarsi dai cliché sinfonici per costruire un sound moderno, viscerale e incisivo, basato su riff pesanti, synth acidi e distorti, e un doppio cantato femminile: uno melodico e uno growl.
“Seaweed Braids” è un brano malinconico e introspettivo, che apre l’arco emotivo del nuovo album. Come racconta la band, la canzone richiama l’immagine di una creatura fragile sommersa nelle profondità marine — una metafora per un’anima smarrita nel dolore e nei ricordi. L’album “The Spectrum of Human Gravity” esplora il mondo emotivo umano senza giudizio né analisi, concentrandosi invece sull’accettazione e sul peso che ogni emozione porta con sé, in base alle ferite personali e alle esperienze vissute. I testi toccano temi forti ma universali — dalla solitudine al suicidio, dalla salute mentale all’identità — sempre attraverso metafore e immagini evocative, lasciando spazio a ciascun ascoltatore di trovare il proprio significato.

ABOUT:
HELLFOX is an ALL FEMALE alternative metal (alt-metal) band with melodic death tendencies. Despite the four completely different musical backgrounds, we share a common inspiration to Amorphis, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity as far as composition is concerned, while for the choice of sounds it was our intention to move away from the Symphonic, recognizably feminine scenario to include acid and distorted synths so that we could create modern atmospheres that more closely met our tastes and better married the pop timbre of the melodic vocals. The dualism of HELLFOX is not meant to be understood on a conflicting level, it is instead the result of different voices within the human soul, different faces if you will, that mingle and generate the person itself, in its entirety, that although they seem to struggle, they coexist and create harmony and balance. We don’t use masks to conform to a mass, nor do we want to stand out at all costs, we just want to be ourselves in a society where normality is only a surface, the abyss instead is made up of so many facets of personality, both for the group and especially for the individual human being. Ours is a message within everyone’s reach, in which one can recognize oneself: that little voice in the head that either draws you in or drives you away… Because for us nothing is normal, nothing is different.
