We are thrilled to announce that Rockshots Records has officially signed the Power Core Metal Band Nekomata. Composed of Filippo Zavattari on bass and backing vocals, Andrea Cappellari on guitars and programming, Andrea Olivieri on vocals and Alberto Mezzanotte on drums, Nekomata is poised to bring a fresh and exhilarating sound to the metal scene.
Nekomata launched their debut album, “…And Then, The Abusement Park Left Town” in 2022, featuring standout singles “Call to Arms” and “Algorithmically Imperfect”. The album was also released in Japan through Ward Records in December 2023. It showcased their unique blend of Metalcore, Death Metal and Power Metal, a genre they have coined as Power Core. This innovative sound combines complex melodic hooks with ripping riffs, enhanced by cinematic electronics, harmonized clean vocals and contrasting growls, all with a touch of bittersweet glam.
Nekomata is currently working on their new album, called “Euphoria” which promises to be even more brutal yet more melodic than their debut, further exploring and expanding their distinctive metalcore-influenced sound.
Additionally, Nekomata will be performing two special concerts in Japan this coming November (November 4th / 5th, 2024), bringing their powerful live show to their growing international fanbase.
